Dreadful Day Ever
It all started with a terrible case of uncontrollable hair. I couldn't make it to look presentable. As I was running out the door, I fell and landed all over myself. To make matters worse, I was completely late for work.

It all started out horribly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then things went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to throw your hands up.
